Commercial Solicitor – Consultant Contract Role
The Role Available:
We are keen to appoint an ambitious, talented and driven Commercial Solicitor with between 2 – 5 years PQE to join our rapidly expanding team.
The candidate must have strong skills and experience of managing their own caseload of Commercial Litigation matters and Contract Drafting.

Skills and Knowledge Required:
Good knowledge and understanding of corporate / commercial law and its procedures
You must have experience of dealing with the following matters to include disputes across a wide area of law such as property, commercial, insolvency, contract, debt recovery, landlord & tenant, Intellectual Property, construction, Partnership, Director and Shareholder disputes as well as contentious probate and professional negligence. The successful Commercial Litigation Solicitor will have a good working knowledge of the Civil Procedure Rules and litigation processes and be capable of managing files and clients from initial instruction to conclusion, possess good negotiating and advocacy skills and be able to work on both claimant and defendant matters.
The candidate must also have strong drafting skills to draft a wide range of commercial contracts such as leases, terms and conditions, share purchase agreements, shareholder agreements, joint venture agreement, agency/distribution agreements etc.
The role will include attending and advising clients, representing clients in court and researching complex areas of law. You must also have excellent IT/Keyboard skills, time management/organisational skills
We use DPS cloud-based software. It would be desirable to have a working knowledge of case management systems, although you will be given training and support.

The practice can offer long term security and will offer exposure to high calibre work.
The successful candidate will have access to LexisNexis and a comprehensive case management system including digital dictation with some secretarial support.
